Due to the release of their magnificent debut album "A Trip To The Stonehenge Colony" (2000), the Belgian band Cowboys & Aliens made a successful rush to the top of the European grooverock scene. Soon they were asked to play gigs in some of the most important Benelux venues and they also appeared on the biggest festivals and events. Today, the energetic band proudly announces the release of their brand new album "Love, Sex, Volume", an important step forward in the career of this bench of talented musicians. Again Cowboys & Aliens succeeded in transmitting their tremendous live sound into the 11 studio songs on this new album.
Listen to the high class vocal performance of Henk V., undoubtedly one of the best singers one can find in the actual rock music scene. Get caught by the magnificent groovy riffs of guitarist John P. en find yourself overwhelmed by the pounding beats of the rhythm section, with a very accurate playing Peter G. on drums and last but not least the pure and genuine driving-power of the bass, played by Kris V. who is also responsible for the powerful backing vocals.
"Love, Sex, Volume" is without any doubt one of the best albums ever released in Europe . It just forces you to play it again and again, time after time...
"Love, Sex, Volume" was recorded in the well known Hype studio's in Aalst - Belgium by DJ (of La Muerte-fame), the talented artist who also produced the first C&A album. And yes, again he did a great job! The album was mastered by the famous Alan Ward (e.g. Black Sabbath, Spoiler,...) at Electric City in Brussels . The music of Cowboys & Aliens speaks for itself: straight ahead, no mere frills, right to the target and with snappy lyrics full of hidden sexual persuaders... The band did some heavy touring to promote their second album in Germany and the Benelux (e.g. a small, but successful tour with labelmates Gonzalez). In May 2004 they won the Rocktribune/Graspop concours 2004 which resulted in a spot on the Graspop Festival in June.
